Overview

Club Ally ("we", "our", or "the app") is a team management app for amateur football clubs. We are committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how we use it.

This policy applies to all users of the Club Ally app and any associated services. By using Club Ally, you agree to the practices described here.

Data We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide the Club Ally service:

• Account information — your email address and display name, provided when you sign up.
• Team and squad data — team names, player names, shirt numbers, positions, and roles within a team.
• Match and availability data — fixtures, results, availability responses, lineups, and match statistics.
• Financial records — payment periods, fines, and payment statuses entered by team administrators. We do not process or store any payment card details.
• Push notification token — a device token used to send you match and team notifications. Only collected if you grant notification permission.
• Profile photo — optionally uploaded by you. Stored securely and only visible to members of your team.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Club Ally service:

• To create and manage your account and team membership.
• To display match schedules, results, lineups, and availability to your team.
• To send you push notifications about team events (which you can disable at any time in Settings).
• To send account-related emails such as email verification and password resets.
• To allow team administrators to manage payments and fines within their team.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). Push notifications are delivered via Expo's push notification service. Transactional emails are sent via Resend using our verified domain clubally.co.uk.

Access to your data within the app is role-based — only team administrators and founders can see sensitive information such as financial records.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or any third parties for commercial purposes. Your data is only shared with the infrastructure providers listed above (Supabase, Expo, Resend) to the minimum extent necessary to operate the service.

Other members of your team can see your display name, profile photo, availability, and match statistics — this is core to the app's purpose.

Your Rights (UK GDPR)

As a user based in the UK or EU, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — request that your account and personal data be deleted. You can also delete your account directly within the app via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
• Portability — request your data in a portable format.
• Objection — object to how we process your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.

Push Notifications

If you grant notification permission, we may send you alerts about upcoming matches, lineups, results, payment reminders, and team announcements. You can control which notification types you receive in Settings → Notification Preferences within the app, or disable all notifications through your device's system settings at any time.

Children's Privacy

Club Ally is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
